A Focus on Habitat

Walawaani Way is focusing efforts to provide much needed habitat for a variety of native animals including the Glossy Black Cockatoo & the ground dwelling and very talented Lyre Bird.

This week we also can add another native animal to the mix – the Koala! The Eurobodalla Koala Project has approached us to collaborate and will be planting 165 eucalyptus trees next month to attract the endemic Bodalla Koalas to the conservation burial site.

We have also made contact with National Park’s Koala Strategy Team) about a possible relocation of koalas to the site in the future (if the current Bodalla Koalas don’t venture there on their own!) A very exciting initiative!!

There has been a huge amount of Media in the last few months including ABC and Bay Post print articles, Radio Q&A with Hamish McDonald, Tim Webster and ABC Drive, an article in the beautiful and local Pip Magazine from Pambula, the beginning of two documentaries and also some UK media!

CALL OUT!

We are looking for people who would like to be in media articles and the documentaries so please email me if you are keen to spread the word about the benefits and beauty of natural and conservation burials!
